Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: March 30, 2026
1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms & Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("you" or "user") and CodeCraft Consulting ("we," "us," or "our"), concerning your access to and use of WattWise (the "Service"), available at this website.
CodeCraft Consulting is incorporated in Antananarivo, Madagascar.
By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service immediately.
2. Description of the Service
WattWise is a browser-based backup power runtime estimator that helps users estimate how long a fuel generator or battery power station will last based on connected appliances and power loads. All calculations are performed client-side in your browser. No account creation is required to use the core tool.
The Service is provided free of charge. Certain optional features — including downloadable PDF reports — may require payment. Where fees apply, they will be clearly disclosed before any charge is made.
3. Estimates and Accuracy
All runtime, cost, and power output figures produced by the Service are estimates only. They are based on the values you enter and simplified calculation models. Actual results will vary depending on:
- The real-world power draw of your appliances versus their nameplate ratings
- Fuel quality, ambient temperature, and generator maintenance
- Battery age, health, and depth of discharge cycles
- Actual solar irradiance, shading, and panel condition
- Inverter efficiency under varying load conditions
WattWise is a planning tool, not a substitute for professional electrical advice. Do not rely solely on these estimates when making decisions that affect safety or critical equipment.
4. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise indicated, the Service and all of its contents — including software, text, graphics, logos, and calculation logic — are owned by CodeCraft Consulting or its licensors and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law or regulation
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or automate access to the Service via bots or scripts
- Use the Service to provide professional engineering, medical, or safety advice to third parties without appropriate independent verification
- Attempt to interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
6. Third-Party Links and Affiliate Relationships
The Service may include links to third-party websites, including retailer product pages for generators and battery power stations featured in the tool. Some of these links may be affiliate links, meaning CodeCraft Consulting may earn a commission if you make a purchase after clicking through.
Affiliate links are clearly identified where present. We only link to products whose specifications we have independently verified. CodeCraft Consulting does not endorse any specific product and is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third-party websites. Your dealings with third-party retailers are solely between you and them.
7. Third-Party Analytics and Advertising
The Service uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect anonymised usage data (pages visited, session duration, device type, and approximate location) via cookies. This helps us understand how the Service is used and identify areas for improvement.
The Service also displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. By using the Service, you acknowledge that:
- Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to collect analytics data and serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time via Google's Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- CodeCraft Consulting does not control the content of advertisements displayed by Google and is not responsible for any third-party products, services, or websites promoted through those ads.
- Clicking an advertisement will take you to a third-party website governed by that party's own terms and privacy policy.
For full details on how Google uses data for analytics and advertising, see our Privacy Policy.
8. Paid Features and Payment
Where the Service offers paid features (such as downloadable PDF reports), the following applies:
- Prices will be displayed clearly before purchase
- Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider (currently Stripe). Your payment information is handled directly by that provider and is not stored by CodeCraft Consulting
- All sales are final unless otherwise stated. If you experience a technical issue preventing delivery of a paid feature, contact us at the address below and we will resolve it
- Prices may change at any time; changes will not affect purchases already completed
9. Data and Privacy
WattWise does not require registration and does not collect personal data through the core estimator tool. Your settings, appliance selections, and custom data are saved to your browser's local storage and remain on your device.
For details on how we handle any data that may be collected (such as through analytics or paid features), please read our Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components
- Any calculation results will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose
- Any defects will be corrected
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CodeCraft Consulting and its directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the Service, including but not limited to reliance on any runtime or cost estimate produced by the tool.
12. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless CodeCraft Consulting and its affiliates, officers, agents, and employees from any claim, loss, or demand — including reasonable legal fees — arising from your use of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
